About the Department
The Department of Environmental Science is committed to promoting environmental awareness, sustainability and responsible citizenship among students. As an Ability Enhancement Course (AEC), the department provides fundamental knowledge of environmental systems, ecological processes, biodiversity conservation, natural resource management, climate change, pollution control, and sustainable development.
To foster environmental literacy, sustainability consciousness, and ethical responsibility among students through quality education, enabling them to contribute effectively towards environmental conservation and sustainable development.
- To impart comprehensive knowledge of environmental issues, ecological principles, and sustainable development practices through an interdisciplinary approach.
- To develop environmental awareness, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students for addressing contemporary environmental challenges.
- To promote value-based education and responsible citizenship by encouraging environmentally sustainable lifestyles and practices.
- To strengthen student participation in environmental protection activities, community outreach programs, and awareness campaigns.
- To nurture environmentally responsible graduates capable of contributing to local, national, and global sustainability goals.
